The proposal for the reconstruction of the Liberty Square in Vitebsk was made on the basis of an analysis of the history of the planning structure of the city center, a landscape-visual analysis of the existing building and with the calculation of the economic feasibility of using the territory. It is proposed to shift the public promenade area of the area to the territory adjacent to the summer amphitheater, raising it to the level of Lenin street, Frunze, using the underground parking space that has been formed.
Thus, while maintaining the current function of the area, it is possible to restore the architectural complex destroyed in 1957. Nikolaevsky cathedral and, in 1984, exploded monuments of architecture of buildings of the pharmacological faculty with a pharmacy along Frunze avenue. The center of the composition of the square is a monument to the book of Olga in the form of a column. The ensemble of the 4-storeyed building of the public cultural center closes the ensemble of the square, executed in neo constructivist style. The motifs of the Suprematist compositions, referring to the work of Kazimir Malevich, who lived and worked in Vitebsk, were used in the square's power.
